Castable patterns for a Surat jeweller.
Intricate ring patterns, ready for investment casting — faster than hand-carving, with detail clean enough to cast first time.
Auric Jewels, a Surat workshop, was bottlenecked on hand-carved waxes: slow, hard to repeat, and inconsistent across a collection. They needed a digital pattern workflow that their casting house could drop straight into the burnout furnace.
The challenge: ultra-fine prongs and filigree, zero ash on burnout, and a turnaround fast enough to keep up with seasonal demand.
Sketch to sprue in three steps.
CAD from sketches
We modelled each design parametrically, so stone sizes and band widths could be tweaked in minutes.
Print at 25 µm
Printed in castable resin at 25-micron layers on a sprued tree for direct burnout.
QC & handover
Each pattern inspected under magnification, then handed to the casting house burnout-ready.
"First-time clean casts, zero rework — we've moved our whole pattern workflow to ResinRiva."
— Founder, Auric Jewels
The collection cast cleanly on the first pour, with no ash and crisp filigree. Pattern lead time dropped from days of hand-carving to a 48-hour print cycle, letting Auric prototype and iterate designs at a pace hand-work could never match.
